[If that's not enough help, perhaps you should read -- but then again, this likely isn't for you.]

If you have a USBGecko, try unplugging it from the Wii before running the exploit. There's a bug in the USBGecko code used in the exploit that will make the game hang if you have a USBGecko plugged in to the wii, but not connected to any program on your computer.

This exploit does not work with every version of Zelda:TP. Easy way to check your version is to compare the text string which is on the inner cycle of the data surface with the ones below.

  • RVL-RZDP-0A-0 JPN - working
  • RVL-RZDE-0A-0 JPN - working
  • RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA - reportedly not working

SD Card Adapters on PAL

The PAL launch Wii did not allow the use of SD cards through adapters plugged into the Gamecube memory card slot (through e.g. the USBGecko) when in Gamecube mode to prevent the execution of GC homebrewn through the Action Replay exploit. The US and JAP Wii also got patched in a later firmware update to discourage GC homebrewn. Luckily the disabling of the SD card adapters does not carry over to Wii mode, which means that the Twilight Hack can recognize SD cards plugged into the memory card slots even on PAL and patched US and JAP consoles and will be able to launch ELFs of USBGecko in the future.
