A simple edit of tona's Wii Shop and IOS51 installer by WB3000 for the System Menu 4.0 update. It installs the latest IOS61, and the latest Wii Shop Channel.
Current Issue: The Shop wants more than just its correct IOS. This will not really help you much, but it's a start towards the right direction.
A couple of notes to get this working:
Make sure the installation completes successfully!!
If it pauses and asks you to press a key to continue -
4.2 Shop Channel (updated to 21th October)
Some users are reporting problems while trying to install the newest 4.2 Shop Channel with WiiSCU. This installer will force to install IOS61 v5405 (without applying any patch) and Shop Channel v18.
Note
You can also use the original Updater. The only important thing, is that RVL-Shopping-v18 get's installed. However Wii Shop and IOS61 installer does always install the newest, which, in today's case, is v18. The updated IOS61 is not needed — v4890 does the job, as well.
Other options
- You can also use WiiSCU (as recommended by the WiiBrew:FAQ) to update the IOS61 and Wii Shop Channel for the 4.0 updates without updating System Menu at all.
- Or you can use Wii Shop IOS60-61 and Mii installer to download IOS60/61 and Wii Shop Channel and the Mii channel.
