Talk:Crazy Intro
Video Support?
any news on it? would love a 30 second boot.avi :) djdynamite123
I tested mplayerwii with this, it has some glitches and it contains lots of codecs hence the size becomes really large. I'll decide on a single video format and try to use that. If I can't do that I may resort back to the mplayer libs that comes with mplayerwii. I.R.on
Well here is the proof of concept video version : http://wiicrazy.tepetaklak.com/index.php/2009/01/31/crazy-intro/ --I R on 00:16, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Using custom channel launching
any chance to implement 1 & 2 buttons? djdynamite123
Possible of course... but I want to spare at least 1 button for something extra I.R.on
Hmm, what's that something extra......also wiicrazy, could it not direct boot a certain boot.dol from assigned buttons (similar to spacejumps dol forwarder), like apps\GeckoOS\boot.dol or whatever, just for those who don't have custom channels? djdynamite123
Let's say reserved for now, don't know maybe I can implement a gesture recognition function.. say swinging the wiimote circular while pressing the button would take you to something and doing something else would take you to something... not decided yet. I can incorporate a dol loading feature, really that could be nice. I.R.on
Menu Patcher?
What would be the best way to integrate Menu Patcher (Waninakoko) into this and Preloader so that it loads every time? Maybe a separate version for those people who might want this where pressing the A button loads Menu Patcher/Systemmenu. Also, any way to not have to hit what amounts to 2 buttons on the remote to start the channel of your choice (1st time to turn the remote on)? Thanks. --SuperWario 18:37, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Well I don't have any intentions to make it patch the system menu since preloader already does that. The only thing you can't do with the current preloader version is reloading ios, the rest of them you can accomplish already with the preloader patches. As for the double press stuff, I'll investigate the matter. I.R.on
Hint and possible fix of MPlayerWii's video format on boot.avi
mplayerwii is enough for that, and you can hack config.h to make only an specific decoder, only 1 format, answer smaller size :P Hope that helps Mr Crazy! djdynamite123
Well the config stuff is actually for the mplayer libs themselves, mplayerwii itself doesn't much interface with the mplayer at the codec level. So any default compilation of mplayerwii will be big, I'll play with the mplayer configuration like you suggested, possibly would get a decent size with a few codecs. I.R.on
not working correctly
I have installed it as posted and it took a few try's due to me using a picture that was too large. What I get now is on boot up. My new Health screen for 2-3 seconds with ERROR: no such file or directory found in top left corner then it goes black for 3 seconds and normal health screen shows up. Any Idea what I am doing wrong?? I use preloader .28 to load the file. Im wondering if it could be a issue of installin it more then 1 time? Ist time I named the image Boot.jpg.jpg. 2nd time I had a image too large. But I fix those. Could they still be tryin to load each time causing loop of sorts?
It can't find either picture or the mp3 file in your sd card, make sure you can see file extensions on your computer... they should be named boot.jpg and boot.mp3... In a explorer windows click Tools, click Folder Options, select the View tab and uncheck the Hide extensions for known file types option. --I R on 00:14, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
It found the picture after I renamed it but it still had the Error in top left.. As I wrote before I had done it wrong at first but fixed it and it showed my picture but with that error in corner and only lasts 3 seconds and ends up loading normal health screen. * I dont have a .mp3 on teh sd yet.. Do I need to have one?
Well yes, you need to have a mp3 as well, the error you see is because there is no boot.mp3 in your sd card. While I make it much more configurable, you can have a few seconds of silence encoded as mp3 --I R on 01:18, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Ty it loads and no Error BUT when I hit A it loads Normal health screen. If I hit B it loads homebrew channel and when I back out of that its back to normal health screen. Is it a settin in Preloader I need to change? Fixed With preloader ENABLING NO HEALTH SCREEN..Thx for help
Title ID
Anyone know where I can find Title ID for wiiware, vc, or programs to make a custom health screen launcher. I know crazyintro has the feature to launch from the health screen but you need the title ID. Found some links.. http://www.wiisave.com/gamecodes/ http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/Virtual_Console_Installation_Sizes#Disc_Channels http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Title_Database
Hope this helps some people.
