:Very cool, I think I'll play about with this when I get time, if anyone is interested in flash games and has a favourite they can (for example) put something like http://www.xgenstudios.com/castle/castlexgen.swf in the config and launch a game full screen. I think I'll get apache installed again and make some time saving channels to save me going to the pc. I might also add the code to some of my apps and have an interactive online read me, with things like search etc. Very simple but cool none the less. :Thanks, looks like I put the check for that a bit too late, try the latest version and get back to me if anything else comes up. Also, you can get back to the HBC by pressing the reset button in that situation. Gannon 11:23, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

:: will test soon. also, i know that the reset button works, but that involves getting off my ass and going over to the wii. the gc controller is right next to me. you dont have to use the gc controller or anything, just init it --Yossi 19:36, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Can you please suggest how the source can easily be edited to boot other installed channels. For example the iPlayer channel without the need for an argument pointing to any url. This versatility is intriguing but proving tricky Bbryan 20:34, 23 September 2010 (CEST)

Open a specific webpage

i haven't tested this yet, but can it open a specified webpage? like have it open opera to http://www.wiibrew.org --Yossi 04:46, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

I will have to check this, but it may be possible by passing an argument to Opera. Gannon 05:58, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
I doubt channels will accept arguments...but I could be wrong. It is possible to load Opera from the Nintendo Channel (if you're looking at a game, and it has a website, there's a link at the bottom of the page, and you can click it and it opens in Opera), maybe someone can take a look at that (dunno, use a USB Gecko or something, see what its doing), and incorporate that. Dunno if thats even possible, who knows? --SifJar 13:13, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Done! Thanks for the idea. Gannon 21:55, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Wow. Impressive. How did you work it out, out of interest? --SifJar 22:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
I ended up noticing that there was a new function for loading a channel with arguments, then tried loading with a url as the argument. I was going to load up the Nintendo channel and look through things, but couldn't connect to the Nintendo server to download it earlier today.. Gannon 22:22, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Replace Wii System Menu

Wow, if we could actually do this for all channels (disk load, mii, possibly even VC channels) you could render the actual wii system menu obsolete. Just boot straight to the Homebrew Channel and have all your homebrew and all your official channels in one place! (and without all those annoying animated logos) TheTome 04:22, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

AFAIK, this will load any channel, you just have to edit the source to the title ID of whatever channel you want. Then you can have all your channels listed in HBC. --SifJar 18:36, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
