This is the best homebrew i've seen in ages, a real 3d platform game!Paulwagener 18:25, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Neat game! There seem to be some places where you can just fall through the ground and die.... It happened to me twice, in two different places, but I walked over the same spot again and it didn't happen.... --Mr. Reaper 04:44, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I like this little game, really cool! I like the Balloon Fight vibe!
Just curious, what do you use for your models? .md2 format? --Ksmiler

This is honestly something that Nintendo could slap a couple of extra levels and soundtrack onto and release as a genuine game. Production value is fantastic. Well done. --Pinecone 19:03, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Just curious, what did you use to render the 3d graphics? I've been trying to figure out how to create 3d objects and load meshes, but there really isn't any good tutorials on it. I know it can be done using GX directly, and GRRLIB 4.0 can do it, there's just no tutorials on it. Any help is appreciated. RazorChrist 10:30, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- I use my own engine which uses GX directly; GX is pretty close to openGL, and there are plenty tutorials for that // Beril —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beril (talk • contribs) 12:57, 22 May 2009
Number of Stages?
I was wondering how many stages there are. Is there only one or do you need to get all the stars to advance to the next stage? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjbauer95 (talk • contribs) 14:18, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- No there is only one stage //Beril —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beril (talk • contribs) 12:58, 22 May 2009
Help debugging a crash dump?
8005b610 -> 80034a6c -> 800455b4 -> 80045cfc [...]
Unfortunately, I can't get it to reproduce on my system. -- Bushing 22:40, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
It should be fixed in the latest version. There was a problem with how I wrote my filenames as the latest Homebrew Channel apparently changes the local directory to apps/helium when the game starts --Beril 08:34, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- For now I can only confirm that 0.91 does work with HBC 1.0.1 and wii menu 3.3u (so does 0.9). I'll try them again when HBC 1.0.4 gets released.... Thanks for the update. I wonder if the changing of the local directory is causing the problems with a bunch of other games that wouldn't run for me in HBC 1.0.3? But oddly, other people said Helium Boy 0.9 did work for them with HBC 1.0.3 when used with system menu 4.0. --Mr. Reaper 02:55, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
