Wiibrew Forums

Has anyone thought about doing the voting for this in a topic on the Wiibrew forums, I can make your topics stickies even if you want. DtD 12:00, 7 July 2008 (CEST)

Good Idea you should make a thread in the forums. June is almost decided so just start with July. Hopefully there will be more votes.

DragonMedia Player This is the first Music Player for the Wii with many supported formats and a usefull customizable GUI + Folder support

Homebrew Browser I thinks it's great since we can update our homebrew wirelessly! RedChaos 03:58, 3 July 2008 (CEST)

I vote for Homebrew browser. It is the BOMB! Pinball wizard 16:32, 1 July 2008 (CEST)

QuakeGX, I don't know of any other (fully playable) 3D gx homebrew :] Eluan 19:15, 15 June 2008 (CEST)

Aren't you a little biased? Whatever, I second this for June's homebrew of the month if you keep up the pace with updates.--Agoaj 04:29, 18 June 2008 (CEST)

Yes, I'm biased :) Eluan 16:38, 18 June 2008 (CEST)

I vote for the new version of wii-linux (whiite 0.1) if we figure it out in June. If we still can't figure it out then I vote for QuakeGX --vader347 18:44, 20 June 2008 (CEST)

Another vote for QuakeGX. It beats most commercial games with very good wiimote control. prismsub7 18:44, 21 June 2008 (GMT+1)

WADit No other Homebrew has a chance ^^ -- DarkChris

No other Homebrew will cause the same amount of bricks XD -- Vader347

Seconding Chaosteil's (self-)nomination for libwiisprite. -- Ulti 03:26, 26 June 2008 (CEST)

Got my vote, too --miom 17:17, 26 June 2008 (CEST)
Add another vote for libwiisprite from me. Homebrew browser can wait until it's a little more advanced I think --ProdigySim 06:11, 9 July 2008 (CEST)

Just a friendly reminder: June is not over just yet. Try to manage to wait until July, k?--henke37 19:22, 26 June 2008 (CEST)

Ok, since this isn't organized at all, vote in this table for what you think the project of the month should be. Use ~~~ to sign your name and vote. Sign after the other votes. I vote for libwiisprite, if you cant already tell. --Blooper4912 03:52, 3 July 2008 (CEST)

We have a WINNER DING DING DING DINGJops 18:40, 6 July 2008 (CEST). Oh no wait Vader374 changed his vote Jops 15:45, 8 July 2008 (CEST)

I can't let anybody win too easily. Svpe made another vote to libwiisprite. If no one votes for QuakeGX today then libwiisprite is the winner --vader347 16:06, 8 July 2008 (CEST)

Voting closes at the end of the 14th of July, at midnight according to this wiki's time. Its exactly 2 weeks into July and hopefully it wont cause arguments. --Blooper4912 02:06, 9 July 2008 (CEST)

The TH hack was so monumental it was recognized for two months, as it should have been. - Para 11:01, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
Screw that, let's nominate something now. I vote for the TCP loader.--henke37 12:00, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
Na! I vote WAD Installer and then chuck in May while your at it and go for Homebrew Launcher and its channel (which people seem to ignore for some unknown reason??? Jamesdodd 04:43, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
I am not sure if the staff likes the WAD installer, since they are not a big fan of the risks, not to mention the piracy issues. While I am not sure if they will veto this nomination, I do think that the staff votes does have a greater weight here. Also, please use proper wiki links, I fixed them for you.--henke37 06:15, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
I vote for the TCP loader sice it was the only uhm... new wii homebrew thing that utilizes a new thing Jops 20:31 19 May 1008(PDT)
I vote for Homebrew Launcher and his channel !
WiiMiidia ;) DarkChris
I am guessing that The Homebrew Channel will be there, its a clear winner!
Indeed. Isn't the indent getting silly now? Muzer 02:19, 26 May 2008 (PDT)
yes, silly indentation... surely these should only be used when replying or something? rather than individual votes!!! JD 03:03, 26 May 2008 (PDT)
I don't understand why homebrew channel gets more notice than the Homebrew Launcher Channel? JD 03:03, 26 May 2008 (PDT)
Maybe, just maybe, because it is technically and functionally superior? 03:13, 26 May 2008 (PDT)
Erm... don't they technically do the same thing (launch homebrew)?? one has more animations and fancyness, plus a few other features but takes up more space on the wii and can only be used if you install in on your wii. while the other can be used without installing anything on the wii or can be used with a channel if you don't mind installing it on your wii and using the wad installer!? Anyway, it shouldn't really be applicable for the april slot as a real copy wasn't available in april! But obviously should be there for May! ;) JD 03:28, 26 May 2008 (PDT)
The Homebrew channel has TCP support and gecko support. And 22 blocks is nothing for a channel.
No. With the homebrew channel, you can play homebrew AND Zelda (you don't have to copy the save file all the time)
@unknown user: erm... you can do that with the homebrew launcher if you install its channel, which is surely no more less secure to install than the homebrew channel is?? JD 07:25, 27 May 2008 (PDT)
the HBC can run .dol files, it can tcp load, it has updates, it has eyecandy and it was made by team Twiizers Vader347

WAD Installer should definitlly (sp?) be April's Project of the month, including the WAD Manager, and WAD Installer. They're not just to install pirated channels (which I frown upon), but they are also used for a variety of custom Homebrew Channels (not THE Homebrew Channel, but other ones). Either you should post those tools, or while your at it, all of Waninkoko's GREAT applications. All of Waninkoko's applications, as of current, include the following:

WAD Manager v1.0, Wii Config v1.0, Mii Extractor v1.1, Mii Installer v1.1, Savegame Extractor v2.0, Savegame Installer v2.0, WAD Installer v2.1, WAD Uninstaller v1.1, Wii Duplicated Channel Remover v2.1, and Wii NAND Dumper v1.

WAD applications won't get the vote I'm afraid... the community sort of frowns upon them due to their potential piracy uses. JD 02:34, 5 June 2008 (PDT)

Still, Waninkoko's actions made the biggest impact on the community in april (imho), so it gets my vote. (or the page intro 'to be recognized for some kind of merit' needs to be refined) prismsub7 18:52, 21 June 2008 (GMT+1)

The Homebrew Launcher was also a big hit. It gave a channel-like experience, with customizable images and text to choose what application to run. (A big step up from Front SD Loader)

I vote for Wii-Linux POC v0.4 Vader347
