WiiBrew:Contests/Homebrew Channel music
The winner is drmr! Congratulations! Great job everyone :)
Post music you made or music you think would be good. Listen to the channel music on all the existing channels. Try to emulate that style: short, catchy, to the point.
To clarify: This is the music for the screen when the Homebrew channel banner(s) are being displayed. (There is currently no plan for what will come after "Start" is selected, suggestions can be posted on the Homebrew Channel/Ideas article though.)
Remember, all must be under an acceptable free license.
The Newgrounds Audio Portal would be a good place to look, since all music there is the music is free to use (being released under a Creative Commons license), if you want to help.

I don't believe long songs are the way to go, for filesize reasons and because the channel screen will usually only be on for a few seconds. So here's a short loop (approx. 8.5 secs), multi-layered so it doesn't get boring too soon, going on the underwater theme of souLLy's screen. EQ is on the careful side, not going overboard on bass and techno elements.

I liked MC Jimmy's work from here so much that I decided to trim it a little bit to make it loopable which makes it a really nice channel sound. Please note that the original work is not done by me. I just found it on newgrounds and adapted it.
Here is an even more trimmed version without the redundancy of the second part of the first file. Looping should work perfectly here :).

Well I tried to be creative in every way possible. So here is my entry using the logo (souLLy) created , so I hope he doesnt mind. I made it a video to add to the feel of what I was trying to do. I can upload the MP3 if need be. Enjoy !

A song I created using Renoise. Sort of a techno-watery ambiance, with piano. I tried to emulate the way most channels have a short little jingle at the beginning. If you open and start the channel immediately, you still hear the main jingle at the beginning, but there's also more if you stick around. Preferably, the ambiance at the end would loop after the song is over, but fading it out would work too.
