DISCUSS! lol

Hmm

This application seems a little pointless. At least make it look very good, and provide instructions on the screen. I don't know if you already did, because I did not bother to run it.--Bdr9 12:28, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, maybe not exactly front page worthy. Not to put your work down but it's like a demo that doesn't really add anything new. Thav 16:04, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

i just decided a (semi) useful app , it was only mas 2nd app, so......cut me some slack, and i worked off the hello world sample source,i could make a better one, but if someone could teach me to make a makefile....., also, can i code in VB6 to make a app? Calthephenom 20:57, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

First, VB6 is dead. Second you can't build an Wii app with Windows library, I already told you. Third, you don't need a Makefile to compile a VB6 project just used something like that in a batch file:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\vb6" /make "ProjectName.vbp" "OutputName.exe"
--Crayon 21:03, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Crayon is right VB6 relys on windows files to run so in that case it wont run on anything but windows. You would have a better chance with qbasic lol ive made a non-graphic OS with it once lol but i doubt anything coded in qbaisc would run on the wii...BTW crayon, VB6 is not dead we recommend VB6 courses at our college befor entering .net courses why i dont no, maby just to get the feal for programing. But dont give up on this app just practice and dont release it untill you feal it is worthy to be. Davick

This is the reason why I said VB6 is dead: "Microsoft's extended support for VB6 ended in March 2008 and the designated successor was Visual Basic .NET". If they still teach VB6 at your college, maybe it's because teacher's don't know how to code in .NET ;) -Crayon 00:38, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
My apoligies Crayon for the wrong understanding.. The VB6 is just to get people use to coding, Because after Vb6 you start VB.Net. Most people that take this course have no idea how to code, Its only 2 extra credits on there card so most people take it anyways. But i prefer c++ more than anything. --Davick 17:47, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
This is a joke, right? -TPAINROXX/BKW 02:03, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

License

Your infobox says GPL license. But the actual binary does not include a GPL license, nor there is any way to get the source. To make it clear, GPL says:

  • Everyone is free to modify the program as they see fit.
  • If you have access to the binary then the person who supplied to the binary must make some way available to get the source.

Of course there is more to it, but that's the general idea. --Daid 12:37, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Interest

Hey, a guy on a forum want's to know if your'e interested in using some of his/her cooking recipe's here, or a request from me, be able to display them from a website or so. :) --djdynamite123 13:26, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion

Yo, quick suggestion for future menu items. How about meat loaf? :-D -Kage Korosu 03:31, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

this is yus, it is coming in 0.2.1 Calthephenom 20:46, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

About version 0.2

Version 0.11 didn't work. For one, the source said "WPAD_ButtonsUp()" .. that function doesn't exist. It's "WPAD_ButtonsDown()" always. And guess what, the "buttons" variable was there to make it easier !! Second, there were no newlines in the printf()s. All of them. You have to do it yourself you know!! So, I decided to fix it for you and release as version 0.2. Hope you like it. Wack0(t/c) 13:11, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

We need Chocolate Chip Cookies on here to get it going!!! xD I'm thinking instead of hitting something to make it print on screen, having a way to move down and up a list to select the recipe and retrieve the info from a TXT file so it's easy to add new recipes? I'm not making this as a request, as I can try to help too, but I'm very new to programming. xD I've barely figured out the if and printf functions. Tried some Wii and Windows programming in C. Kurisuellegarden 03:30, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

you can add whatever you want, this is open source, but i am also a C noob, this is my first app, and i built it off the hello world test code Calthephenom 22:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
I actually knew that it was coded from the hello world test code because of the way it was coded. Wack0(t/c) 11:29, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Requests

Add Requests For Food Calthephenom 02:59, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

This thing is beast!!! I can't wait till more recipes are added! This is such a great idea! lol :P--WaxyPumpkin72 21:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Wrong Section

Why did you put it under games? This isn't a game, it's listed under Homebrew Browser as a Utilities app! I'm pretty sure it goes under utils! --Hunterm 01:13, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Hunterm.

This should go under Demo —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chengui (talkcontribs) 9:26, 28 September 2012(CEST)
