Well, if we were to make the unofficial versions appear in the applist, we would have to add an awful lot of other versions which would be unnecessary work when we could just keep them in their own pages. Once the peripheral images are removed from that page, the advantages are minimal for the amount of time it would take. Feel free to continue the discussion, I just don't think it's worth it.
