Since this sends to Nintendo your play time what will happen when they see all the Wii Homebrew Channel info? Once I use it for and hour will it allow me to rate it? Pinball wizard 18:15, 29 May 2008 (PDT)

I was hoping it would, but it doesn't. Oh, well :) Marcan 22:00, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

What did the update do?

I noticed that the channel has been updated, but what does this update do? Toagac 19:44, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

4.1 Update

Well there is a new update to the Nintendo Channel in 4.1 but for Japan only at the moment. I was wondering what the changes were?--Flyguy 16:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

See this. A lot has changed, including the dl list URL and the format.(The dl list URL ID system has been broken, see below link.) Technical NinCh info is available here. --yellows8 02:17, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
The US update appears perfectly safe. It doesn't seem to require an update to the Wii system menu or anything, it just recommends it. I'd imagine that it would be safe to download for those of you running old SysMenus and minimal shop channel and IOS updates, but someone with an older sysmenu will need to confirm this. (I only updated it on my testing Wii, which has all the major updates so far.) The date in the announcement states that if you updated after 7/14/09, you may not need to update again, further confirming that barring any hidden updates in the title installation, it seems to rely on the old updates. --Thegamefreak0134 00:37, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
The updated Nintendo Channel should work fine as long as you have IOS55 installed. --yellows8 20:36, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
An added note, as this seemed confusing to me: the Update button in the channel announcement (delivered to the Wii Message Board) is for the System Menu, not the Nintendo Channel itself, so do not click it. ^_^ --Thegamefreak0134 21:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Stub

The page has information about the updates. Maybe we should remove it from the Stub category because it has enough information. Keyboard mouse 04:24, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
