This update may also add support for the New Wii Vitality Sensor, out later this year... Just speculation.. (Not like anyone would buy it, it looks dumb)

There's a note that Bannerbomb is fixed with this, and HBC is removed. So putting anything back on via the HackMii installer would be impossible if Bannerbomb is the only method of doing so, correct?

- Bannerbomb is only one exploit, Indiana Pwns and Smash Stack still work fine, and there will be other exploits in the future I guess. Anyway, HackMii Installer won't currently work with the new IOS (wait a day or two and there'll probably be an update), and current HBC and DVDx title IDs are deleted on boot, so there's no point installing anything. --SifJar 14:51, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

The information on this page conflicts with System_Menu. The System Menu page says the 4.3 update deletes BootMii as boot2 and IOS, but this one only says it deletes BootMii as IOS. Which one is correct? Silvarjin 19:05, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Kinda depends. If you already have boot2v4, this update won't delete BootMii as boot2 (i.e. if you updated to 4.2 officially, or some 4.1 disc updates, such as NSMB). If you don't have boot2v4, this will delete BootMii/boot2. --SifJar 20:17, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

i think due to this new update the banner of all wiki pages need to be changed, it states you can still gain full controll with the latest version of the hackmii installer. Bitflusher 12:54, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Chips
I note that Nintendo are focusing all their efforts on software mods (used for homebrew and piracy) and have never touched modchips (used almost soley for piracy). Is that because they can't do anything to modchips? I would have thought that if there is software that can update the chip's firmware Nintendo should be able to create similar software to bad-flash them. Crundy 12:54, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps there could be potential legal issues. For example, they could block you from Wi-Fi, as they own the servers and you agreed to their EULA, which states not to modify your Wii in any way. They could not however, intentionally brick your Wii or destroy your modchip, as both are physical products which you own. The EULA your agreed to was not to use the Wii, but rather to use NWC, and as such, that is the only thing they can take away from you. Killing modchips or bricking softmodded Wiis would teeter on the edge of legality and likely create a lot of lawsuits. --Homestar92 16:48, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
New HBC Title ID?
The HBC 1.0.7 has a new title ID to work around the 4.3 update, but Priiloader and AnyTitleDeleter can't read it. (It says the title ID is "????") What is it, and why can't it be read? --Jrcolonial98 18:45, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- It uses non-standard ASCII characters, so it better to be written in hex. In hex it is: 0xaf1bf516. ATD and Priiloader don't display it correctly because of they try to display ASCII, but the non-standard characters can't be displayed. --SifJar 19:08, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

- There is no reason Nintendo won't be able to delete this title ID too AFAIK. They don't use ASCII, they use the hex version in their deletion code, so it shouldn't make a difference. The next update will almost definitely still remove HBC. --SifJar 16:41, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Trying to update, error# 32004
First, running 4.2, I put on the system menu hack "Block Online Updates" (and a few others). Then when I learned it is safe to update with HBC 1.0.7, I un-patched the system menu and tried to update. However, I got error code 32004. I looked it up on the Nintendo site and it says their satelites are busy, bad connection, etc. I tried later twice and got the same result. 4.3 shop channel
2 things: what ios does 4.3 shop channel use? still ios61? if yes some pages need to be updated with that info ( example ). second is that this section probably needs to be reworked in light of recent page deletes. --Spec 03:13, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
