Peripherals images

Are you going to let someone else make the loading methods images, then? I would but I suck so much at any form of art... Muzer 12:59, 8 May 2008 (PDT)

I suck too at design. I was hopping that Hiker13526 could make it (or someone else)! I leaved him a message to make is life easier. By the way, I think it looks better in info box. Check my user page. - Crayon
I think it best to use a comma and line separated list in the peripherals field of the infobox. --Hiker13526 10:42, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
Personally I think it looks better with images. I think that Nintendo would agree with me! They don't only use it on boxes, they use icons for Virtual Console too. - Crayon
Wikipedia doesn't seem to use icons in Infoboxes. At least not ever that I see. I don't see any icons of the like anywhere. If you can find some precedence for the use of icons on Wikipedia I'd be more inclined to agree with their usage. --Hiker13526 13:01, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
You are right this is not common in Wikipedia, the closest thing I found near icons are flags or the buttons on that page. Maybe, instead of having "Peripherals: [img] [img]", we could a have section like the "Related missions" on the previous link? - Crayon
Who cares what wikipedia does? Icons make it easier to see at a glance if you can or can't run the app. It would be annoying if you got as far as setting up the app before you realise from some inconspicuous part of the infobox that it is incompatible. Muzer 15:08, 9 May 2008 (PDT)

Illegalness

I'm pretty certain (ie I heard it on the channel) that paradox's banners contained code stolen from Rayman Raving Rabbids' banner, which therefore makes it illegal. Muzer 13:50, 21 May 2008 (PDT)

Re: Thanks

Yeah, I was just editing it to give the background transparency and that colouring just those specific buttons would make it look a bit more, fresh or so. You know? Like in a picture thats black and white but a single thing is in colour to draw attention to it?

periferical images keyboard

I don't kow if it's you of not that have done the images for periferical on Controller Buttons page but can you had keyboard keys some hombrew use keyboard (like guitarfun) --Yod4z 14:00, 28 August 2008 GMT+1

I don't think it's a good idea to put images of keyboard keys. A controller has a limited amount of buttons, while a keyboard... Anyway if you really want to do it, it's quite simple, do a square type a letter and you are done :) --Crayon 14:24, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

WiiBuilder

Hi, Crayon

WiiBuilder is great and runs really nicely on DarWine. Just one thought - when (and if) you do get round to making another release, could you please make it save font files without the '-' in the '<fontname>-<fontsize>' construct by default? It's just a small issue, but it means if you keep the filename and then generate a .h file, it is invalid.

Thanks again --Pinecone 18:31, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I thinks that's a good idea, I should just put nothing between font name and font size ('<fontname><fontsize>'). I should replace space too with '_', certain font name have spaces. --Crayon 19:13, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Finally I decided to use <fontname>_<fontsize>_<fontstyle>, if the style is regular it's simply <fontname>_<fontsize>. It's going to be available in the next release. -Crayon 05:38, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Raster to vector

Your peripheral images are pretty good! I've been converting them to .SVGs, and just needed to ask you if you copyrighted your images. I couldn't find a license on the pages anywhere. Do I need to put copyright stuff on the files I uploaded? -Clorox, Vectoring them rasters for you 02:36, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

There is no copyright for what I did. Do whatever you want with them as long as they look like the one in the manuals. -Crayon 04:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks for the info. -Clorox, Vectoring them rasters for you 06:03, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Language Template

Hello Crayon,

Yes, I think those templates should be removed. Userbox_lang is much, much better ;).

GabberNL 14:26, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Oh, crayon, I forgot to say I made this template: template:Userbox_code. It's the same as Userbox_lang but with C++ and stuff.. Could you please also delete template:Userbox_cpp and template:Userbox_c?

Userbox lang v2?

Hello crayon,

What do you think of this userbox? See my Userpage for that 1 filled in. GabberNL 18:32, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

If we are going to do this we should create a template with the big language switch inside. Instead of having two times the same code. It's easier to manage something like this: [[template:langid|en]] that will return a language string. --Crayon 19:17, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Re:Re:Editing:

Sorry im kinda new to the editing page as you can tell(i'll use preview for now on, until i get it right) but all im trying to do is put those in a box like how everybody else has it. (and add some other icons too) Wiill 18:01, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! didn't know it was That easy. =) Wiill 18:10, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

MiSQL

Hey Crayon, Are You Interested In Working On MiSQL With Me? --Calthephenom 03:36, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I have no time for this project and anyway SQLite has been ported for the Wii.--Crayon 03:39, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh it has, i am planning on building it off of the postgresql source code --Calthephenom 04:18, 6 August 2009 (UTC) Oh, and since you wrote Ftpii we could probably work off of that —Preceding unsigned comment added by Calthephenom (talkcontribs) 04:26, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I did not wrote Ftpii, I only did an icon. Did you tried to build postgresql so far?--Crayon 04:34, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

no, i have NO IDEA Where To Start, i have the source on my computer, but no idea what to do with it --Calthephenom 04:38, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

In all honesty just for the Mi Name —Preceding unsigned comment added by Calthephenom (talkcontribs) 05:10, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

That's great. Thanks for letting me know. Diego_pmc Talk 07:03, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Sleep()

Hello, I am currently tryig to make a small homebrew game and I would like to ask you if you know in what library is the sleep() function defined in. For windows, the function is declared in windows.h; do you know what the header is called for Wii/GameCube? I am using DevkitPro. Diego_pmc Talk 18:52, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

You may want to use my msleep function (you need to include ogcsys.h):
/**
 * Waits for an amount of time in msec.
 * @param[in] milisec Number of milliseconds to wait.
 */
void msleep(unsigned long milisec)
{
    struct timespec req = {0};
    time_t sec = (int)(milisec / 1000);
    milisec -= (sec * 1000);
    req.tv_sec = sec;
    req.tv_nsec = milisec * 1000000L;
    while(nanosleep(&req) == -1)
        continue;
}

--Crayon 19:36, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

usleep could be found in unistd.h (I think). But consider reading this before using usleep. --Crayon 19:56, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes, thanks you. I'll read the article you linked to as soon as I can. Diego_pmc Talk 16:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

msleep() works very well, thanks! Is this from you blog, 'cause I want to cite the sources for every code snippet that I use and is not written by me. Diego_pmc Talk 11:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
This is not my blog, when I said my function, I meant the one I'm using inside my app :) But if you want, just put a link to the Web site. --Crayon (talk) 14:32, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Wii Error Codes

Thank you for assisting me with the formating and everything. I want to help make this the best wii wiki out there. 21:16, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

MP3 from buffer

Hi, I kinda got into the habit of asking you programming questions — sorry if I'm becoming an annoyance. Could you please help me with this? Diego_pmc Talk 06:37, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Safe Email

Thanks, didn't think of an image for the @ sign. That email account is already mostly filled with spam though >_< I was going to use [at] and [dot] blocks until I noticed those can be looked up easily by a quick google search... Gannon 07:01, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Releases panel on main page

I've updated the releases, but it's not showing up on the front screen for some reason. I've gone back and checked I haven't messed anything up, and I don't believe I have. Not sure if you're the right person to raise this with. Thanks Pembo 16:41, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

I had the same problem last week, I just edited my message and it appeared. I don't know what's the problem. It looks like something is in cache somewhere. You may want to address the problem to an admin. --Crayon (talk) 04:24, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
It's not a technical problem, it just takes some time before the page is auto purged — that's normal. If you want to do a manual purge just add ?action=purge at the end of the URL. :) In your case you would have this:

GRRLIB 4.2.1

Hello, I've read in the changelog v0.94 of Defense Tower (latest) that you are working on v4.2.1. I added four suggestions in a thread over at the GRRLIB forums. :) Diego_pmc Talk 08:57, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
